In addition, these call s are also very different to that of P. kuhlii which occurs on mainland Europe and typically produces Echolocation calls of Nathusius’ pipistrelle are similar to those of the other pipistrelles. The peak intensity of the call is lower than the other two species, however, at about 38kHz (between 36 and 40kHz).

The social organization of the pipistrelle bat (Pipistrellus pipistrellus) was studied by means of bat boxes in southern Sweden. The males set up territories around a roosting site in the beginning of the summer at the same time as the females formed nursing colonies.
